Dennis & Bruce are working on a new app called Sedona Hikes. This app will be filled with great video hiking tips, maps of 15 trails and much more! As long as your phone works you won't get lost on the trail!
Thanks to tremendous interest generated by recent local and national media feature stories (Sedona Monthly & Sunset Magazine, 2011), our adventures are getting booked up sooner than ever. If you wait until you arrive in Sedona, you may be too late. Nonetheless, as the private guide service permitted by the U.S. Forest Service, it is worth giving us a ring.
IT’S DONE! After five years of construction, the re-designed Highway 179 is finished. This scenic entry to Sedona (reached via the sole Sedona exit on Interstate 17 North) is the perfect way to arrive in style for visitors coming from Phoenix. Sidewalks, bike lanes, pull-outs for photos and passing lanes accompany spectacular views. But beginning in autumn, we recommend that those arriving on Saturday mornings come early, or arrive via Cottonwood to avoid tourist crowds. From Phoenix, take Interstate 17 to the sole Cottonwood/Camp Verde exit. Turn left off the exit ramp onto Hwy 260, following for about 20 miles. At the stoplight, turn right onto Hwy 89A. That will take you 18 miles into West Sedona.
